We are seeking career-minded, hardworking, and driven individuals to join our team in the industrial cleaning industry. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, labor environment and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty.
The Field Supervisor is responsible for leading one or more crews (typically 3–5 team members) at active job sites. Teams may include Technicians, Operators, and/or Crew Leaders. This role is often a working supervisor position, meaning you will be actively involved in the physical work alongside your crew.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Promotes Safety as the number one priority on the job, and Quality as the number two priority.
- Leads and directs the activities of assigned personnel and holds them accountable for their responsibilities. Shows proper respect for people and equipment with whom and to which you come in contact.
- Loads out the company equipment for the job with the help of the work crew, and checks the Load-Out Sheet to ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available at the job site.
- Inspect job site prior to the work starting to determine whether all project requirements and safety issues are addressed in the JSA.
- Conducts “Toolbox Safety Meetings” with crew prior to job start, including JSA review.
- Assigns tasks for the work crew on the job to ensure job completion in a timely manner, also rotates job assignments to minimize fatigue and maximize cross-training.
- Maintains proper use of PPE at all times per OSHA regulations and rules, and reports all accidents/incidents to the Safety Dept.
- Ensures compliance with all PSI, customer, local, state, and federal safety policies, rules, and laws, including corresponding paperwork.
- Evaluate employee performance and document disciplinary actions when appropriate.
- Fosters a “team approach” atmosphere, always displays a positive attitude, contributes to the “continuous improvement” philosophy, and other duties as deemed necessary.
- Fill out the work order for the job, including the safety sheet and service log.
- Maintains positive customer relations for the company.
- Ensures proper cleanup and housekeeping of the job site upon job completion.
- Coordinates the return of equipment & supplies and equipment cleanup upon return to the shop.
- “Red Tags” any equipment in need of repair/maintenance by the Mechanic.
- Attends/conducts training sessions and meetings with employees, staff, and customers as directed.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be able to bend, stoop, crouch, and crawl as per job requirements.
- Must be able to work in cold, hot, wet, or snowy conditions and be able to wear the correct PPE while working in these conditions.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in tight quarters as per job requirements.
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years experience as a Supervisor, or equivalent supervisory experience.
- Must possess a Valid Driver's License.
- Specific exposures in Steel Mills, Chemical, Refining plants, and similar manufacturing companies a plus.
- Must possess good communication skills to interact with customers, co-workers, and management, along with good troubleshooting abilities.
- Must have the ability to be on-call for response situations, and travel as required with jobs.
