The Field Supervisor will lead industrial field crews and serve as the primary on-site point of contact for assigned projects. This role combines crew leadership, project planning, estimating, quality control, safety leadership, scheduling, and daily communication with the office. The successful candidate must be comfortable traveling to jobs and responding to occasional emergency assignments with little or no advance notice.
Key Responsibilities
Lead field crews and serve as the on-site point of contact for assigned projects.
Plan and coordinate field work, including manpower, craft requirements, schedules, tools, and equipment.
Estimate manpower and craft needs for upcoming jobs and support project estimating.
Build crews for projects, including interviewing and hiring additional personnel when needed.
Direct daily crew activities and ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and to quality expectations.
Maintain tools and equipment required for field assignments.
Schedule jobs and provide daily status reporting to the office.
Complete crew time-sheet reporting for payroll.
Lead on-site safety and quality-control efforts on every assignment.
Support shop-based work during the off-season or between field assignments.
Perform other duties as required to support project execution and customer needs.
Travel & Availability
Travel is required; most field jobs are expected to last approximately one to two weeks.
Must be available for rare emergency assignments that may require immediate or no-notice travel.
Travel expenses are covered by the employer.
Company/work vehicle and fuel are provided for the role.
Preferred Profile
Experience leading crews in an industrial field-service, maintenance, construction, or similar environment.
Strong safety mindset and ability to enforce quality standards in the field.
Ability to plan manpower, coordinate schedules, communicate with the office, and keep field work organized.
Comfort working hands-on with crews and adapting to changing project conditions.
