Finance Analyst (Part-Time Contract)

Location: Tampa, FL

Duration: 6-Month Contract

Schedule: Approximately 24 hours per week

Work Arrangement: Primarily on-site (3-4 days per week) with scheduling flexibility

Pay Rate: $30-$40/hour DOE

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Analyst Contractor to support financial planning, accounting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical finance professional who enjoys working cross-functionally and contributing to strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Monitor financial performance and perform monthly variance analysis.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Create reports, presentations, and ad hoc financial analyses.
• Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Support regulatory activities through research, data collection, and analysis.
• Assist with preparation of financial documentation and regulatory filings.
• Maintain workpapers and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Collaborate across Finance and operational teams on strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and accounting close processes.
• Ability to prepare journal entries and support financial reporting activities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently.
• Experience supporting regulatory initiatives or highly regulated industries is a plus.
