    Pay: $315,000.00 - $375,000.00 per year

    Location: New York, NY. The role is also available in Indianapolis, IN; Columbus, OH; Philadelphia, PA; and Washington, DC.

    Note: Candidates should have 5+ years of finance transactional experience and an active law license in the state where they will be based. Significant experience structuring, documenting, and closing financing transactions is strongly preferred, particularly transactions involving private equity acquisitions, senior debt, mezzanine debt, and both lender- and borrower-side representation.

    Job Description

    • Manage and participate in all aspects of sophisticated finance transactions, including structuring, negotiation, documentation, and closing.
    • Represent lenders and borrowers in complex middle-market financing and acquisition transactions.
    • Work on private equity acquisition financing, senior debt, mezzanine debt, and other sophisticated financial transactions.
    • Analyze transaction structures and negotiate complex financing documentation.
    • Work directly with clients to understand objectives, address issues, and move transactions efficiently toward closing.
    • Support transactions across a variety of industries and business sectors.
    • Participate in business development activities and help strengthen client relationships.
    • Delegate and supervise work performed by junior associates.
    • Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices and practice groups.
    • Exercise independent judgment and take ownership of transactions and deadlines.
    • Contribute to a collegial, team-oriented environment while continuing to develop your practice.

    Qualifications

    • J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
    • 5+ years of finance transactional experience.
    • Active law license in the state where the attorney will be based.
    • Significant experience structuring, documenting, and closing financing transactions.
    • Experience with complex financing and acquisition transactions.
    • Lender-side and/or borrower-side experience; experience representing both sides is strongly preferred.
    • Experience with private equity acquisition financing, senior debt, mezzanine debt, leveraged finance, or similar transactions preferred.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Excellent analytical skills and business judgment.
    • Motivated self-starter with a team-oriented mentality.
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and clients.
    • Permanent authorization to work in the United States.
