Finance Automation & Fund Operations Manager

A growing investment firm that backs ambitious, science-driven technology companies is seeking a Finance Automation & Fund Operations Manager to join its lean finance team in San Francisco. Working closely with finance leadership, you will oversee fund accounting, investor reporting, and capital account activity across the firm's family of funds. You will also guide the adoption of a modern, AI-powered fund administration system and find ways to automate manual finance processes wherever possible. The role includes keeping investment records, valuations, and portfolio data accurate, as well as contributing to special projects that shape how the firm operates. This onsite position offers a competitive base salary, a meaningful share of carried interest, and relocation assistance.

• 3+ years of experience in fund accounting, fund administration, private investment finance, or audit of investment funds
• Strong working knowledge of capital calls, distributions, NAV, management fees, and fund financial statements
• A proven record of automating or rebuilding finance processes using tools such as Excel, SQL, or AI
• A background in public accounting, at a private equity or venture fund, or at a finance technology company
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Genuine curiosity about science, technology, or making an impact beyond finance
