Our client, a leading global manufacturer, is seeking a Finance Business Analyst to support financial planning and analysis, business reporting, and financial systems optimization.

This role is ideal for a finance professional who combines strong financial and accounting fundamentals with hands-on reporting, analytics, and technology expertise. Acting as a key liaison between Finance, IT, and cross-functional business partners, the Finance / Business Analyst will translate business needs into actionable insights, enhance reporting capabilities, and drive process improvements that support operational performance and strategic decision-making.

The successful candidate will bring an analytical mindset, a continuous improvement approach, and the ability to turn complex financial and operational data into meaningful business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Analysis: Support budgeting, forecasting, monthly financial close, variance analysis, strategic planning, and other core financial processes.

• Financial Reporting & Analytics: Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, and reporting tools that provide visibility into financial and operational performance.

• Business Intelligence & Systems: Leverage tools such as Power BI, Power Query, Databricks, and ERP or financial planning systems to improve reporting efficiency, data accessibility, and analytical capabilities.

• Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Finance, IT, Operations, Commercial, Manufacturing, and senior business stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver effective solutions.

• Requirements Gathering: Translate business requirements into reporting enhancements, system improvements, and streamlined financial processes.

• Process Improvement & Automation: Identify inefficiencies, standardize workflows, and implement scalable solutions that reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.

• Data Integrity & Governance: Validate financial and operational data, investigate discrepancies, support master data quality, and help establish consistent reporting methodologies.

• Business Insights & Recommendations: Analyze complex datasets, challenge assumptions, identify trends, and communicate actionable recommendations to support informed decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field required; MBA preferred.

• 4-10 years of progressive experience in finance, FP&A, financial analysis, business analysis, or a related analytical role.

• Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, monthly close, and core accounting processes.

• Experience developing dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, and self-service reporting solutions.

• Hands-on experience with Power BI, Power Query, Databricks, automation tools, or comparable business intelligence and analytics platforms.

• Experience working with ERP systems, financial planning platforms, or enterprise reporting tools such as SAP, Longview, PeopleSoft, or similar systems.

• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into practical reporting, systems, and process solutions.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data validation skills, with the ability to communicate findings to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

• Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
