The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial planning, reporting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making and business performance. This role will manage key financial processes including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and monitoring financial performance to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data. In addition, the Finance Manager will partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to drive efficient processes, provide valuable financial insights, and support the organization’s overall financial health.

Here's what you'll do:

• Financial Leadership Expert: Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes for our college.
• Goal Setting Champion: Establish departmental priorities and ensure all financial deadlines are met.
• Team Leader and Mentor: Supervise your finance staff, providing training, coaching, and performance management.
• Financial Reporting Master: Review and approve financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Strategic Analysis Guru: Conduct special financial studies and provide insights to support informed decision-making.
• Reporting Pro: Produce routine and ad-hoc financial reports for senior management and planning teams.
• Policy and Procedure Champion: Oversee the development and implementation of sound accounting policies and procedures.
• Project Management Expert: Manage special projects and prepare presentations for senior management.

To be successful, you'll need:

• Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Experience: Four to five years of experience in a relevant financial management role.
• Accounting Expertise: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly within a university setting.
• Leadership Skills: The ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of finance professionals.
• Communication Master: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and senior management.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in financial and accounting software applications.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address financial challenges.
• Integrity and Trust: A commitment to ethical financial practices and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
