Description F2 Finance is bringing Fashion & Fitness to all customers in the comfort of their homes. We seek a talented Finance Manager to join as GL Controller to help us unlock key financial and business insights; come join us as we create the future of fashion. As a key member of the Amazon F2 finance team, you will develop strong business partnerships by frequently engaging with leadership teams, vendor managers, marketing, and business development leaders to share financial insights, set strategy, and influence business decisions. Key job responsibilities - Owns Profit and Loss Statement across both 1P & 3P Business for their GL(s) (i.e. acts as the CFO of their business). - Managing weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reporting including operational metrics. - Communicating financial and business results to senior leaders; going beyond the "what happened", and focusing on the "what can we do about it". - Seeing around corners for the next big opportunity and helping to scale those insights to your GL Counterparts across F2 and NAS. - Gathering analytical insights and developing financial frameworks that inform and measure investment decisions and help set the long-term strategy. - Performing deep dive analyses to develop recommendations that impact the decision making of senior leadership; this is across profitability, topline, and cost out initiatives. - Ensure a high level of financial controllership, maintaining data integrity. - Partners with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to take deep dive findings and right size insights for their business partners, ultimately driving financially accretive actions. A day in the life Reviewing FLASH reports on key business metrics is the start to everyday. Controllership is a MUST for this role and our days start with understanding key business metrics and trends. Successful GL Controllers will work directly with experienced Amazon leaders, providing financial controllership, and deep diving ad hoc questions to understand business drivers. Most importantly, GL controllers are driving business outcomes, identifying ways to inform central teams on how to improve NAS wide mechanisms, and identifying quantifiable FCF wins for the business. About the team F2 finance develops finance professionals through shared team goals, mentor connections, and a focus on work life harmony. The successful candidate will get to work with other F2 and NA Stores product line controllers (consumables, hardlines, etc), leveraging best practices, and building out streamlined processes. Our team looks to build on each other's' work to enable more efficiency in routine tasks to free up more time for value-add business partnership (i.e. identifying the right negotiation points, or cost out opportunities). Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience - 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience - 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science) Preferred Qualifications - MBA, or CPA - Knowledge of SQL/ETL - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
