Amazon Fuse & Mobile Business Development (MBD) Finance Team is seeking an innovative, analytically rigorous, and strategic finance professional with high business judgment, who is passionate about accelerating Amazon"s growth through data-driven decision-making and AI-augmented financial operations. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with a centralized business development team working on strategic partnerships to accelerate Amazon"s impact by distributing Amazon"s subscription services through strategic partnerships.

This position requires a candidate who can successfully tackle multiple projects in a start-up environment while actively leveraging AI tools and an automation-first mindset to scale impact beyond traditional finance capabilities. The right individual will have exceptional finance skills, business partnering skills, and firm business judgment - combined with a genuine curiosity to learn, experiment with, and implement AI-powered solutions that transform how the team operates.

The person needs to operate independently in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, and have the ability to influence the decisions of senior business leaders through effective logical reasoning, insightful analysis, and AI-enhanced insights. The ideal candidate is a first-principles thinker who enjoys solving complex problems, dealing with ambiguity, and working effectively with cross-functional teams.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial, as well as the ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, and problem-solve. The candidate thrives in fast-paced settings that are constantly evolving, embraces new technologies with a Learn and Be Curious orientation, and proactively identifies opportunities to apply generative AI and automation tools to financial analysis, deal modeling, and operational workflows.

Amazon Fuse & MBD Finance is a small, tight-knit team who values strong-analytical individuals who also think creatively, can quickly learn business dynamics in the space they"re operating in, and proactively seek out opportunities to advance the growth initiatives of Amazon"s businesses.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead the Finance Planning process for WW 3rd Party Fuse partnerships.
  • Influence senior leaders through financial insight generation to help them achieve business goals and accelerate growth.
  • Independently design and build financial models that maximize the strategic impact of MBD partnerships.
  • Create new methods for assessing incremental value in strategic partnerships and customer segments, including willingness to invest in acquiring and retaining customers through 3rd Party Partnerships, and assess return on strategic investments.
  • Develop best-in-class metrics and benchmarking mechanisms to track efficiency and progress toward team strategic goals.
  • Partner with marketing measurement and XCM Finance teams to develop marketing analytics tools and evaluate the attributed impact of partner marketing investments on financial results and brand perception.
  • Drive thought leadership in quantifying the value of distinct customer behaviors.
  • Identify and implement AI-powered tools and automation to accelerate financial analysis, deal modeling, and reporting workflows - reducing cycle time and expanding the team"s analytical capacity.
  • Champion an AI-first approach to problem-solving by evaluating emerging generative AI and integrating them into existing finance processes where they improve speed, accuracy, or scalability.

About the Company

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
