About the Role:
As a CBRE Finance Sr. Consultant, you will apply advanced cash and accrual accounting fundamentals to work with clients on a wide range of small to medium sized investments and tax strategies to better understand and understand the future of their assets.
This job is part of the Financial Strategy and Operations job function. They are responsible for the maintenance of accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls.
Schedule: Part-Time; 5X a week from 9-3 OR 3-4X a week
Total Hours: 30 hours/week
What You'll Do:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business and act as a subject matter expert to the business leaders. Review the portfolio's financial life to help clients identify what future goals should be.
- Create and manage a complex business and financial strategy.
- Research and interpret a variety of complicated financial results and indicators. This includes capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, profit plans, operating records, and financial statements.
- Compile and review budgetary and fiscal data from a variety of sources to prepare revenue balance statements and historical comparisons.
- Complete a highly involved evaluation of records, both present and past, to project future revenue and expenses. This includes operations, trends, costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred.
- Conduct highly visible studies as assigned to support senior management. Develop presentations of findings and results.
- Discuss budgets with Sr. management and council on matters such as effective use of resources and the underlying forecasts.
- Maintain and report benchmarks and performance metrics. Recommend ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives.
- Showcase expertise in own job discipline and in-depth knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function.
- Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point of view.
- Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams. Work is guided by functional policies which impact the design of procedures and policies.
- Contribute to new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans in support of achieving functional goals.
- Communicate difficult and complex ideas with the ability to influence.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-10 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions.
- Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
- Highly sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate somewhat complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
