    The Role

    \n

    This role has direct involvement with senior leadership and works closely with both the current operations lead offering exposure to board-level strategy and M&A decisions. This is a hands-on, operator-first environment rather than desk-bound analytics, partnering with regional presidents to drive business growth and margin optimization across multiple locations.

    Ideal Candidate Profile

    \n

    Candidate should have 5 to 10 years of experience with a background in construction, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing markets where they managed multi-job operations, worked closely with estimators, and demonstrated understanding of work-in-progress accounting.

    \n


    \n

    The ideal profile is someone who transitioned from accounting into finance roles rather than pure FP&A, and is willing to get hands-on with operations, including traveling to jobsites to learn the business. Candidates must be nimble and creative, open to growth and learning, but experienced enough to contribute immediately without extensive training.

    Must Haves

    • \n
    • Work-in-progress (WIP) accounting knowledge and understanding of construction-specific accounting concepts including percent of completion, unearned revenue, and overbuild/underbuilt scenarios
    • \n
    • Accounting foundation from prior work
    • \n
    • Technical competency with databases, multiple accounting systems
    • \n
    • Finance background and forecasting/budgeting capability, including ability to build 3 to 5-year regional forecasts with operating leaders
    • \n
    \n

    Additional Pertinent Details

    \n
    • \n
    • Travel requirement of approximately 50% initially, structured as alternating weeks (one week on, one week off), with expectation to travel across Florida, Texas, and Northeast locations, otherwise remote.
    • \n
    • Travel decreases to roughly 20% (approximately once or twice monthly) as operations stabilize and candidate becomes familiar with markets and processes
    • \n
