From budgets and payroll to grants and audits, our Finance team plays an important role in keeping County operations running smoothly. In this position, you'll help support the financial operations of Henry County and the Henry County Public Service Authority (HCPSA), working alongside experienced finance leaders and a dedicated team.

What You'll Do- Help manage budgeting, financial reporting, and annual audit preparation.
- Reconcile grant accounts, review invoices and cash receipts, and assist with annual financial reporting.
- Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing for both Henry County and HCPSA.
- Assist the CFO and Deputy Director of Finance on financial projects, process improvements, and other key initiatives.
- Provide leadership and support to payroll staff, helping ensure accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
What We’re Looking For- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
- Experience with payroll processing, including federal and state reporting requirements.
- Supervisory experience.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and experience with financial software.
- Three or more years of governmental accounting experience preferred.
