Financial Analyst

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Financial Analyst to join their finance team in a fully remote capacity. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping business decisions through data-driven insights, working closely with leadership to analyze performance, build forecasts, and identify opportunities for growth.

Day to day, you will spend your time deep in spreadsheets and financial models, translating raw numbers into clear recommendations that guide strategy. Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models to support forecasting and budgeting
• Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance against targets
• Prepare variance analysis reports and communicate findings to leadership
• Support the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting processes
• Develop dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators
• Partner with department leaders to evaluate business initiatives and investments
• Assist with month-end close processes and financial statement preparation
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within financial data
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and data sources

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• 3 or more years of experience in financial analysis or a similar role
• Advanced proficiency in Excel including financial modeling
• Experience with ERP or financial planning software such as NetSuite or Adaptive Insights
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a remote environment
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
