Overview:

The Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Hospitals supports financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across hospital operations for assigned hospitals and markets. This role works closely with FP&A leadership and operational teams to provide financial insights, support decision-making, and improve reporting and planning processes. The Financial Analyst develops analyses and reporting that help leaders understand financial performance and operational trends.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepares and maintains financial reports, dashboards, and analytical tools that support hospital and market operations.
  • Analyzes financial and operational performance and identify key trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.
  • Supports recurring and ad hoc reporting needs for hospital, market, and corporate leadership.
  • Assists with annual budgeting and forecasting processes for assigned hospitals and market operations.
  • Supports business decision-making through benchmarking, productivity analysis, and reporting of key financial and operational metrics.
  • Assists with budgeting system maintenance, testing, training, and process improvements.
  • Maintains standardized reporting practices and support compliance with established financial controls and procedures.
  • Collaborates with finance and operational teams to support strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Communicates analytical findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 1+ years of finance, accounting, or FP&A experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting and finance principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare or hospital finance experience.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, or financial planning systems.
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
