Purpose & Scope
- Support financial activities for a designated business area with a focus on accuracy, timely execution, and data integrity.
- Provide essential analysis and reporting to senior Business Controllers and business leaders.
- Collaborate with finance functions to ensure consistent processes, clear communication, and reliable service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting by gathering inputs, preparing templates, and updating models.
- Ensure data accuracy and alignment with business assumptions under guidance from senior finance colleagues.
- Track financial results and compare performance to plan/forecast.
- Conduct initial variance analysis and flag key issues or trends for review.
- Prepare supporting schedules for monthly and quarterly reviews.
- Prepare recurring financial reports, dashboards, and management summaries.
- Maintain reporting files and ensure quality, timeliness, and completeness in submissions to Corporate.
- Provide data, analyses, and insights to business leaders on request.
- Participate in discussions by supplying clear and reliable financial information.
- Support initiatives and projects led by senior Business Controllers.
Skills & Competencies
- Foundational understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis techniques.
- Ability to work with financial data, identify basic trends, and summarize findings clearly.
- Able to communicate financial information in a straightforward and clear manner.
- Comfortable engaging with stakeholders across functions.
- Strong team orientation; works effectively with colleagues.
- Growing understanding of the designated business area and its financial drivers.
- Strong focus on data quality, consistency, and reliability.
- Takes initiative in gathering information, anticipating needs, and supporting team and business priorities.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related area of study.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience.
