Description
Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Financial Analyst III with our large power and utilities client in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension.
Pay:$47.00 - $53.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.
Description:
This position will be a part of the Interconnection Business Services team. Primary responsibilities will include Interconnection Customer and Account Manager support from the Interconnection Request stage through Commercial Operation stage of the interconnection process.
The Financial Analyst III will support the team by:
Aiding financial functions such as performing study true-ups and final accounting reports for developers that are withdrawing their application or moving to the construction phase.
Capture of deposits and non-cash security for the purpose of customer accounting and risk management.
Using PowerPlan to create study project ID’s.
Monitoring study charging to ensure completeness.
Creating PeopleSoft Invoices.
Issuing refunds for study and security deposits.
Other tasks and responsibilities as needed.
Basic/Required Qualifications:
Understanding of GAAP
Demonstrated technical ability that would allow the understanding complex processes and systems
Effectively demonstrated verbal and written communications skills
Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Office software (e.g. Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook)
Effective listening and interpersonal skills
Excellent time management and organization skills
Ability to function in a team environment
Desired Qualifications:
College degree (4 year undergraduate degree)
Strong Negotiation Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working with Power BI, Power Query, pivot tables and other data reporting tools.
