Job Details: Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Financial Analyst - Inventory to join our team. This role is an exciting opportunity to work in the fast-paced energy industry, focusing specifically on oil, gas, and refinery sectors. The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis and will be responsible for managing and optimizing our inventory across various terminals and pipelines.
Responsibilities:
Perform detailed financial analysis to understand inventory trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and make recommendations to senior management.
Utilize RightAngle software to manage and track inventory levels across multiple terminals and pipelines.
Conduct regular reconciliations of physical inventory against financial records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Develop and maintain financial models to forecast future inventory needs based on historical trends, market conditions, and strategic initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize costs.
Prepare and present reports on inventory performance, trends, and forecasts to senior management.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to inventory management in the energy industry.
Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes related to inventory management.
Provide expert advice and guidance on inventory management best practices within the energy industry.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. A Master’s degree or MBA would be an advantage.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, with a focus on inventory management in the energy industry.
Strong knowledge of oil, gas, and refinery sectors, including operations, regulations, and market trends.
Proficiency in using RightAngle software for inventory management.
Experience in conducting reconciliations and identifying discrepancies.
Strong financial modeling skills, with the ability to forecast inventory needs and optimize costs.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to non-financial audiences.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
High level of integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information confidentially and ethically.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
