SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Dream Finders Homes, the 2025 Builder of the Year, is currently seeking a professional, experienced, and highly analytical Financial Analyst to join our growing Corporate Finance and Accounting team. The successful candidate will be an independent self-starter with a strong attention to detail, a drive to accomplish goals, and a focus on quality results. The ideal team member is an effective communicator who works fluidly with cross-functional teams to analyze performance, manage multiple priorities, and support our rapid growth. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for performing numerous functions related to improving the financial and operational performance of our homebuilding operations. This position works with minimal supervision on complex financial projects, has wide latitude for independent judgment, and offers significant exposure to senior leadership and division managers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operational Reporting: Build, maintain, and distribute key operational financial reports utilized across all corporate and regional divisions.
  • Expense Control: Partner closely with regional divisions to review, track, and provide detailed visibility into operational expenses.
  • System Integrity: Monitor and maintain system financial estimates to ensure the total accuracy and reliability of all dependent corporate reports.
  • Margin & Pricing Analysis: Prepare comprehensive margin analysis, build detailed pricing proformas, and evaluate profitability trends to support business decisions.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Produce dynamic ad hoc reporting and performance summaries as requested by senior leadership and division directors.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization to better gather financial insights and streamline budgeting.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity, corporate professionalism, and strong accountability.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is strictly required (complex formulas, financial modeling, data analysis).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple overlapping priorities.
  • Solid problem-solving mindset with a highly analytical approach to reviewing data.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance leaders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a professional financial analysis role.

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:

  • Prior experience in Homebuilding, Residential Construction, Property Management, General Contracting, or Retail Construction.
  • Familiarity with standardized production metrics, corporate budgeting software, and variance analysis.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The work environment is representative of an office setting. This is a 100% in-office position located in Jacksonville, FL (no remote eligibility).
