ExoTerra is an industry leader in the development and production of electric propulsion systems for small and micro satellites. The company provides propulsion solutions for space exploration, defense and commercial programs. We are a dynamic and rapidly expanding project-based manufacturing company in the aerospace and defense sector.

ExoTerra is also now part of Voyager Technologies. Voyager is an innovative defense, national security and space technology company committed to advancing and delivering transformative, mission-critical solutions. We tackle the most complex challenges to unlock new frontiers for human progress, fortify national security, and protect critical assets to lead in the race for technological and operational superiority from ground to space.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a high-performing Financial Analyst to support financial planning, forecasting, and investment analysis. This role will partner closely with program managers, operations, and executive leadership to drive financial visibility, accountability, and strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical rigor with business partnership skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead quarterly forecasting and annual operating plan (AOP) processes for all investment spend (CapEx, facility expansion, geographic expansion, strategic initiatives), including risks, opportunities and scenario impacts.

  • Own end-to-end tracking of all investments against approved business cases

  • Build and maintain investment models (ROI, NPV, IRR, payback) with clear assumptions, sensitivities, and scenario analysis

  • Establish and manage a centralized investments tracker to monitor spend, timelines, and expected vs. actual returns on a weekly/monthly basis

  • Partner with program manager and operations to ensure accurate inputs, milestone tracking, and accountability for financial outcomes

  • Deliver monthly insights on investment performance, including variance to plan, key drivers, and risks/opportunities

  • Support investment approval processes by preparing business cases, summarizing financial impacts, and identifying trade-offs

  • Drive post-investment reviews to assess performance vs. original case and refine assumptions for future decision-making

  • Improve investment governance by standardizing templates, assumptions, and reporting across programs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

  • 5+ years of progressive finance experience

  • Strong financial modeling (ROI, DCF, NPV, IRR, Payback) and Excel skills

  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders

  • Strong communication and executive presentation skills

Nice To Have

  • Experience in Aerospace or Manufacturing organizations

  • Experience with Netsuite and/or Costpoint

What Success Looks Like

  • Investment visibility is clear and consistent: leadership has a single, reliable view of all active investments, spending to date, and expected returns

  • Forecasts for CapEx and strategic investments are accurate and proactively updated; no surprises late in the quarter or at close

  • Investment models are decision-ready: assumptions are documented, sensitivities are understood, and outputs are trusted by leadership

  • Post-investment reviews are routinely completed, with insights incorporated into future business cases and planning assumptions

  • Reporting processes are streamlined and scalable (minimal manual work, standardized templates, repeatable cadence)

  • Finance is viewed as a strategic partner in investment decisions, not just a reporting function

  • Export Control / Compliance Requirements

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
