The Financial Analyst plays a vital role in supporting the financial health and compliance of Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) operations. In this position, you will ensure accurate reporting, provide actionable financial insights, and partner closely with program and finance leadership. Your work will help drive informed decision-making, maintain regulatory compliance, and support sustainable program growth across health services.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare and deliver timely, accurate financial reports aligned with federal, state, and funding requirements
  • Analyze financial results against budgets, identify variances, and communicate trends and risks to leadership
  • Develop recurring and ad hoc analyses to support operational and strategic decisions
  • Translate complex financial data into clear insights that improve program performance

Financial Operations and Collaboration

  • Prepare and record journal entries with thorough supporting documentation
  • Partner with program leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial monitoring
  • Collaborate with revenue cycle teams to review billing activity and revenue trends
  • Build and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and tools to improve visibility and efficiency

Compliance and Audit Support

  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure alignment with regulatory standards
  • Support internal and external audits, reviews, and monitoring processes
  • Adapt reporting processes to reflect evolving funding and compliance requirements

Organizational Contribution

  • Support cross-functional initiatives that enhance quality and operational effectiveness
  • Participate in the annual budget process, including preparing projections and presenting data
  • Contribute to additional projects that align with organizational priorities

Qualifications

Skills

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and accountability
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to diverse audiences
  • Proficiency in financial systems, ERP platforms, and advanced Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmen

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis or accounting
  • Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Knowledge of healthcare, nonprofit, or government funding structures
  • Experience with financial systems and data analysis tools

Preferred

  • Familiarity with CCBHC or behavioral health funding models
  • Understanding of nonprofit accounting standards and public-sector compliance requirements
  • Experience developing dashboards or automated reporting tools
