Financial Analyst

Location: On-site/Office

Compensation: 80k-90k annual

Clearance: Secret

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to provide support to NSWCDD B Department (Sensor Systems) for various projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform program and financial analysis required to accomplish the technical objectives of Sensor System projects
• Assist in the maintenance of budgetary, financial, and scheduling status of the various Tasks and Task areas within Sensor System projects
• Provide financial and programmatic assistance for the development of budget planning estimates for Task Planning Sheets, cost estimates for Rough Order of Magnitude (ROMs), and impact statements due to reduced allocations
• Track expenditures and expenditure rates, identify variances, and provide cost projections
• Develop financial summaries, reports, and graphs for project reviews, presentations, and data calls to project Sponsors, project Leads, and the Department
• Use applicable DoD and NSWCDD Systems and Databases to report on, analyze, forecast, track, and solve problems for the Government''''s financial accounts
• Provide financial analysis support to the organizations'''' divisions, branches, program managers, group leaders, and Business Office in accordance with applicable Department processing timelines
• Provide financial management and cost analysis of projects within the organization
• Process incoming and outgoing funding for NSWCDD in accordance with applicable Department processing timelines
• Recommend the allocation of financial resources
• Provide funds status inputs to the Government
• Generate, update, and maintain program, project, and budget estimates, tracking budget execution by appropriation and funding type, addressing budget issues, and providing data for budget data calls in accordance with applicable Department processing timelines
• Use the Integrated Budget, Planning & Execution (IBPES) application to report on, analyze, forecast, track, and solve problems for the Government's financial accounts

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with an active Department of Defense Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree with three (3) years of professional experience in accounting functions
• Experience includes tracking program and project budgets, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports, reviewing invoices and statements, verifying financial information, and ensuring sufficient funds have been obligated
