We are partnered with a venture capital firm that is looking to add a Financial Analyst to its team in San Francisco, CA. This is a unique opportunity to join a tech-focused investment platform and play a key role in portfolio reporting, fund operations, data management, and valuation support. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and organizational skills, experience working with financial or operational data, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage portfolio company and fund reporting intake processes.
• Maintain data integrity and reporting accuracy across internal systems and databases.
• Oversee outsourced data operations and perform quality assurance reviews.
• Support valuation processes through coordination with fund administrators.
• Organize and maintain audit-ready financial and operational documentation.
• Track reporting deliverables and proactively follow up on missing information.
• Assist with process improvements, workflow optimization, and operational projects.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 1-4+ years of experience in financial operations, fund administration, accounting, portfolio reporting, or data analysis.
• Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills with the ability to work with structured data.
• Highly detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, documentation, and process improvement.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Airtable, Notion, Google Workspace, or similar tools is a plus.
• Exposure to venture capital, private equity, or alternative investments is preferred but not required.
• Must be based in or willing to commute to the San Francisco area for a hybrid work environment
