Description
Overview
The Program Finance department serves as a critical business partner by providing analysis, insight, and guidance to enable strategic program decisions and achieving bottom-line results.
This Financial Analyst position, located at the Quonset Point, RI Facility, supports the VIRGINIA Construction Program Finance team.
Responsibilities include:
Performance measurement and variance analysis
Bi-weekly construction progressing
Budget Change Request reconciliation
Estimate at Complete review
Create and update daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
Manpower Plan and Operating Plan development
Shop order control
Financial Analysis
Qualifications
Required Qualification:
Bachelor''s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics, or Statistics/Analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of related experience
Prior Electric Boat experience/internship
Project Management experience
Earned Value Management experience
Experience in Government contract cost control
Knowledge of EB Systems (Mainframe, MRPII, Purchasing and Inventory, Oracle)
Experience reporting and analyzing financial data
Experience with Power BI
Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas) and PowerPoint
Must be interested in and capable of analyzing large sets of data with minimal supervision
Analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management
