We are seeking an experienced and driven Financial Controller to join our growing home care organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will oversee all financial operations and lead the accounting and finance team. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can build, structure, and optimize the financial department to ensure smooth, efficient, and scalable operations.
 

Key Responsibilities for the Financial Controller:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting and finance team
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, establishing clear roles and accountability
  • Design and implement financial processes, controls, and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for senior leadership
  • Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, tax, and reporting requirements
  • Optimize the use of Sage Intacct and improve system workflows and reporting capabilities
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies across the organization
 Qualificationsfor the Financial Controller:
 
  • Prior experience in healthcare required; home care experience strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of building and leading teams, and creating structure in growing organizations
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance
  • Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct preferred
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
