Role Description The Financial Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Dallas, TX, responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial operations. This role includes managing the general ledger, preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The Financial Controller will monitor budgets, analyze financial performance, and provide insights to leadership to support strategic decision-making. Day-to-day tasks also involve supervising accounting processes, maintaining internal controls, coordinating audits, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and nonprofit financial standards. The individual in this role will collaborate with program and administrative teams to align financial practices with organizational goals and stewardship priorities.

• Candidates should possess strong Accounting skills, including general ledger management, reconciliations, and knowledge of GAAP.

• Candidates should possess experience with Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including preparation, review, and presentation to leadership and stakeholders.

• Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Finance, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and cost analysis.

• Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and recommend improvements.

• Experience with grant accounting and audit procedures recommended.
• \n
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.

• Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations and familiarity with fund accounting is beneficial.
• \n
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel, and the ability to produce clear financial reports and dashboards.

• Strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site.
