JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Brief: Description:

Duties: Process and manage grants. Perform special projects as assigned by the Director and/or the Deputy Director. Participate in assigned administrative support functions; participate in various specialized departments programs; attend and participate in department or division meetings and events.

Provide highly responsible administrative staff assistance involving conducting research for a wide range of municipal policies involving organization, procedures, finance and services.

Collect, compile and analyze information from various sources on a variety of specialized topics related to assigned programs; prepare reports which present and interpret data and identify alternatives and recommendations.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Equivalent to a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university and college level course work in business administration, public administration, accounting finance or a related field.

Five years of increasingly responsible professional accounting, or budgeting experience, preferably in municipal or public accounting.

PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT, APPLICANT RECOMMENDED FOR EMPLOYMENT SHALL BE REQUIRED TO SUCCESSFULLY PASS A URINALYSIS AND/OR BLOOD TEST TO SCREEN FOR ALCOHOL AND/OR DRUG ABUSE.
