Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Surgery is looking to hire a Financial Services Analyst to play a key role in supporting the department's procurement and financial operations. As the primary point of contact for purchasing activities across departments, divisions, research labs, and administrative units, you will oversee procurement transactions, travel and expense reimbursements, and vendor payments while ensuring compliance with University policies and procedures. This position partners closely with faculty, staff, and external vendors to coordinate purchasing activities, resolve financial inquiries, and ensure timely, accurate processing of procurement and payment transactions in support of the department's clinical, research, and academic mission.

Hourly range: $32.67-$49.71

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Analytical skills necessary to evaluate the cost effectiveness of purchasing options.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to read and interpret terms and conditions of contracts.
  • Working level of proficiency in the use of standard spreadsheet and word processing software.
  • Ability to set priorities and complete ongoing tasks with competing deadlines, with frequent interruptions, with high degree of accuracy.

Preferred:

  • 1 - 3 years Purchasing
  • Some knowledge of the organization's departments and operations required in order to meet their procurement needs
  • Understands procurement policies and systems such as Procurement, Travel systems, etc.
