    Job Description

    JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re seeking a Wealth Manager to join an established wealth-management practice in Olympia, WA. This is an opportunity for a client-focused advisor to grow beyond a primarily service-oriented role and develop into a lead Wealth Manager with meaningful ownership of client relationships.

We’re known for a welcoming, supportive, and non-competitive culture where advisors genuinely support each other and grow together. This is a team-oriented environment where collaboration, learning, and doing what is right for the client come first.

The role begins with transition and onboarding period, working closely with the firm's Executive Director of Wealth Management. During this time, you’ll learn the firm's clients, planning philosophy, investment approach, processes, and service model while building relationships with an established client base, including high-net-worth households. As you gain experience and build trust, you’ll gradually assume greater responsibility for these relationships and become a primary point of contact and trusted advisor to clients.

The first year your primary focus will be learning the practice, building relationships with clients, participating in meetings, and developing a strong understanding of the firm's approach to wealth management and financial planning. As you become established in the role, you’ll take the greater ownership of client relationships.

The ideal candidate is proactive, coachable, relationship-driven, and motivated to grow. You don’t need to have an established book of business. We’re open to advisors who are ready to take the next step in their career and have the potential to develop into a lead advisor.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Client Relationship Management

    • Build trusted, long-term relationships with existing Capstone clients and prospective clients.
    • Participate in client review meetings and progressively take ownership of client relationships.
    • Learn client goals, financial circumstances, preferences, and service expectations.
    • Deliver a high-touch, personalized client experience.
    • Educate clients and provide thoughtful recommendations aligned with their goals.

    Financial Planning & Wealth Management

    • Conduct financial reviews and help clients evaluate progress toward their goals.
    • Support retirement, cash-flow, investment, and broader financial planning.
    • Prepare for client meetings by reviewing financial information and identifying planning opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain client financial plans using planning technology.
    • Help clients navigate significant financial events, including retirement, inheritance, and other life transitions.
    • Partner with advisors, portfolio management, and the broader team to deliver comprehensive solutions.

    Practice Development & Growth

    • Identify opportunities to better serve existing clients and deepen relationships.
    • Develop organic growth through referrals and client relationships.
    • Recognize opportunities to bring additional assets under management.
    • Contribute to the firm's long-term AUM growth once fully integrated into the practice.

    Team Collaboration

    • Work closely with advisors, CFPs, portfolio management, and administrative team members.
    • Communicate proactively and take ownership of responsibilities.
    • Ask questions, seek guidance, and actively apply feedback.
    • Contribute to a collaborative environment where team members support one another.

    REQUIREMENTS

    •  3+ years of relevant experience is preferred, but the team is open to junior-level advisors with the right foundation, client-facing experience, and potential to grow into the role.
    • Hands-on experience in wealth management, financial advising, financial planning, or a closely related field.
    • Experience working directly with clients on financial planning, investments, or wealth-management strategies.
    • Active Series 65 or Series 66.
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team.
    • Strong attention to detail, organization, and professionalism.
    • Willingness to learn and develop within the firm's planning and investment approach.
    • Willingness to work fully on-site in Olympia, WA.

    MUST HAVES

    • Series 65 or Series 66 — Active registration required.
    • Client-facing advisory experience — Demonstrated experience working directly with clients in financial planning, investments, or wealth management.

    • Relationship-driven approach — Genuine interest in building long-term client relationships and putting clients' interests first.
    • Team-oriented mindset — Thrives in a welcoming, non-competitive environment where advisors support and learn from one another.
