Schedule and pay at a glance
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 5:00 AM–1:30 PM
- Pay: $22–$33 per hour, plus overtime and additional compensation for emergency service
A day in the life
You arrive on site before dawn, review the riser, and lay out conduit runs. By mid-morning you are landing devices and programming the panel. After lunch, you run functional tests, verify notification circuits, and document results to NFPA 72 standards. You wrap by coordinating next steps with the project manager and updating as-built drawings so tomorrow’s tasks are clear.
What you will do
- Install, wire, program, test, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems from start to finish
- Interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and wiring schematics to execute precise installations
- Conduct inspections and testing in accordance with NFPA 72, NEC, and AHJ requirements
- Produce accurate service reports, testing documentation, and as-built drawings
- Collaborate with project managers, inspectors, customers, and other trades on site
- Adhere to all company safety procedures and job-site protocols
- Respond to varying job-site schedules and emergency service calls as needed
What you bring
- Nevada F Card
- OSHA 10 Certification
- At least 3 years of hands-on fire alarm installation experience
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, and local fire alarm codes
- Experience with Mircom, Potter, and other common fire alarm platforms preferred
- Valid Nevada Driver’s License and a clean driving record
- Comfort working on ladders and lifts; able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
- Open availability for varying job-site schedules and emergency service calls
