Job Description Job Description Firetrol Protection Systems is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Fire Alarm Project Coordinator to support the planning, execution, and completion of commercial and industrial fire alarm projects. This position works closely with project managers, field supervisors, technicians, vendors, and customers to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. This opening will be for out Houston, TX location.The ideal candidate will have experience in the fire alarm or low-voltage industry and possess strong communication, scheduling, and coordination skills.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate day-to-day activities for fire alarm installation and construction projectsAssist Project Managers with scheduling manpower, materials, inspections, and project milestonesTrack project progress, labor hours, equipment deliveries, and documentationManage project files including drawings, submittals, RFIs, permits, and closeout documentsSupport procurement of fire alarm equipment and materialsSchedule inspections, testing, programming, and customer trainingMaintain communication with customers, AHJs, and internal departmentsEnsure projects comply with NFPA 72, NEC, local codes, and company standardsAssist with project reporting, change orders, and billing documentationRequirements2+ years of experience in fire alarm, low voltage, electrical construction, or project coordinationKnowledge of commercial fire alarm systems such as Notifier, Simplex, Siemens, or Edwards preferredFamiliarity with construction scheduling and project documentationAbility to read blueprints and fire alarm drawingsStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project tracking softwareExcellent communication and customer service skillsNICET certification is a plusBenefitsFiretrol offers competitive wages and top-of-the-line benefits that include health, dental vision, life insurance, short and long term disability, paid time off and a 401(k) plan with a generous company match and immediate vesting.
