We are seeking experienced Fire & Security Systems Technicians in Michigan who are willing to travel for field service and installation projects. This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity for technicians with hands-on experience in fire alarm, burglar alarm, CCTV/video surveillance, and related low-voltage systems.
Responsibilities
Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm and security systems.
Work with fire alarm, burglar alarm, CCTV/video surveillance, access control, and low-voltage systems.
Perform system testing, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Read and interpret system drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation plans.
Diagnose system issues and complete repairs efficiently.
Perform equipment installations, wiring, terminations, and device replacements.
Maintain accurate service reports and documentation.
Travel to customer sites throughout Michigan and surrounding areas as required.
Follow all safety procedures, project specifications, and applicable codes.
Qualifications
2+ years of hands-on experience with fire/security or low-voltage systems.
Experience with one or more of the following:
Fire Alarm Systems
Burglar/Intrusion Alarm Systems
CCTV/Video Surveillance
Access Control
Low-Voltage Systems
Strong troubleshooting and technical skills.
Ability to work independently in the field.
Willingness and ability to travel.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
Preferred
Fire alarm certifications such as NICET.
Manufacturer-specific certifications.
Experience with commercial or industrial security systems.
Knowledge of applicable fire and low-voltage codes.
