Fire Alarm Technician

A growing property management organization is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to support its residential and commercial properties throughout Greater Philadelphia. This position is responsible for installing, programming, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing fire alarm systems to ensure proper functionality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, program, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm systems.

- Perform system testing and inspections to ensure proper operation.

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate installations.

- Diagnose system issues and complete necessary repairs in a timely manner.

- Install and route low-voltage wiring to support system integration.

- Stay current with industry technologies, equipment, and procedures.

- Travel to properties throughout the Greater Philadelphia area as needed.

Qualifications

- Previous fire alarm system experience.

- NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level I Certification.

- Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize urgent projects in a fast-paced environment.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.

- Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle.

- Comfortable working at heights and using ladders.

- Availability to work nontraditional hours when emergencies arise.

- Ability to travel throughout Greater Philadelphia.
