Fire Protection Designer

An established fire protection (sprinkler) contractor in Northwest Indiana is adding a Fire Protection Designer to its team. You'll design fire sprinkler systems for commercial and industrial projects across Chicagoland and Indiana, working from first field survey through permit-ready drawings.

What you'll do:

- Design fire sprinkler systems for commercial and industrial projects

- Run hydraulic calculations in HydraTech

- Produce layouts in AutoCAD and coordinate in Revit/BIM

- Perform field surveys and prepare permit and submittal drawings

- Work with project managers, installers, and other trades to keep projects on schedule

What you bring:

- 1-8 years of fire sprinkler design experience

- Working knowledge of NFPA 13

- Proficiency with HydraTech and AutoCAD; Revit/BIM experience preferred

- NICET certification (Water-Based Systems Layout) is a plus

- $75K-$100K base salary

- Sign-on bonus plus yearly bonus
