Are you an experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer looking for an opportunity to work on challenging commercial and industrial projects while continuing to advance your technical expertise?

We’re partnering with an established California fire protection company with more than 40 years of experience delivering high-quality design-build fire protection solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a designer who wants more than just another drafting position. Our client is committed to investing in its people, supporting additional NICET certifications, and helping individuals pursue advanced professional credentials, including Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design fire sprinkler systems for commercial and industrial facilities.

• Develop detailed sprinkler layouts, hydraulic calculations, and construction drawings.

• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, architects, and installation teams.

• Apply NFPA standards and relevant fire protection codes to ensure compliant designs.

• Support the design process from initial planning through construction and installation.

• Participate in 3D BIM coordination and resolve design conflicts before they reach the field.

• Collaborate with experienced fire protection professionals on a variety of technically challenging projects.

What We’re Looking For

• NICET Level II certification or higher.

• Experience designing commercial and/or industrial fire sprinkler systems.

• Strong understanding of NFPA standards and sprinkler system design principles.

• Experience preparing hydraulic calculations and technical drawings.

• Proficiency with fire sprinkler design software.

• AutoSPRINK experience is a significant plus.

• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage design responsibilities independently.

Experience with 3D BIM modeling, design-build construction, or complex industrial fire protection applications is especially valuable.
