We are hiring an experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitter for commercial and warehouse projects in the Fontana, CA area. This role is best suited for someone with strong hands-on installation experience who can work independently from plans with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
Install and run overhead steel fire sprinkler piping
Install mains, branch lines, risers, drops, and sprinkler heads
Measure, cut, thread, groove, fit, hang, and secure steel pipe
Install hangers, supports, seismic bracing, and structural bracing
Read and interpret sprinkler blueprints, shop drawings, and layouts
Make field adjustments when site conditions differ from plans
Coordinate sprinkler piping with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other trades
Work safely from scissor lifts and boom lifts at heights up to 30–36 feet
Follow all jobsite safety procedures and quality standards
Requirements
5–6 years of hands-on fire sprinkler fitting/install experience
Strong commercial or warehouse sprinkler installation background
Experience working with steel fire sprinkler pipe
Must be able to work independently from blueprints without constant supervision
Experience with sprinkler heads, mains, branch lines, hangers, and seismic bracing
Comfortable working at heights and operating lifts
Must have basic fitter tools and PPE
Reliable transportation to the Fontana area
Strong attendance, reliability, and safety awareness
