The client is seeking a Fire Protection Design Engineer to fill an opening in Harrison, OH!

We are looking for either one Senior Level or one Junior Level depending upon the experience. For this role, the applicant would be a fire protection designer to design special hazard fire suppression and fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design life safety and asset protection systems using AutoCAD and proprietary software applications, adhering to local, national, and manufacturer requirements.
• Direct contractors in the proper installation and operation of systems.
• Survey job sites to ensure proper system design and installation.
• Read, review, and implement customer-supplied project specifications.
• Attend manufacturer training classes and other continued education training
• Create project-specific operation and maintenance manuals.
• Update existing drawings.
• Assist office staff with engineering-related tasks such as process improvement.
• Assist with system inspection and maintenance (if needed).
• Assist in system startups and commissioning (if needed).

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (Hiring Companies ATS Questions):

1. Do you have previous experience in the Fire Protection Industry is required

2. Do you have pevious experience as a Design Engineer

3. Do you have proficient knowledge of AutoCAD 2D drafting.

4. Do you have knowledge and efficient use of 3D design software.

5. Do you have Understanding of MS Office applications.

6. Do you have the Willingness to study for and obtain NICET certification.

7. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
