We are looking for the next ROCK STAR to join our family at Firehouse Subs® Restaurant! Part-time positions are available in most locations. Team members must understand the importance of the customer experience and understand that they are the “Face” of Firehouse Sub’s.
This job contributes to Firehouse Sub's success by assisting the General Manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. This job requires the ability to deploy team members and delegate tasks to complete daily systems and procedures with 100% integrity.
Essential Functions include:
- Oversee daily restaurant operations during your shift, ensuring efficient food preparation, timely service, and excellent customer experiences.
- Lead and motivate team members by providing guidance, training, and support to uphold service standards.
- Manage cash handling procedures and operate POS systems such as TOAST
- Control inventory levels by monitoring stock, assisting with ordering, and minimizing waste to keep costs in check.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met through proper food handling and cleanliness practices.
- Assist in staff scheduling, interviewing potential team members, and conducting ongoing training & development initiatives.
- Handle customer inquiries or concerns promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels and foster positive relationships.
- Foster an environment of team work
- Adhere to all food, safety and security guidelines
- Responsible for delivering an exceptional customer and store experience
- Greet and thank every customer with a smile and eye contact
- Execute quality store operations
Additional Requirements:
- Proven experience in food service management or supervising roles within quick service or fast food restaurants.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for accurate cash handling.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train staff, manage shifts, and promote teamwork.
- Background in food safety regulations and inventory control practices.
- Experience in hospitality management or casual dining environments is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to stand, bend, reach and scoop through-out assigned shift
- Ability to be mobile in walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40° F to -10° F
