Position Overview

Hermitage Country Club is seeking a friendly, dependable Fitness Attendant to help create a welcoming experience for our Sports Center members during weekday evenings and weekends. This part-time position is ideal for students looking for flexible work around their academic schedules or retirees seeking a relaxed, social work environment.

The primary focus is member interaction, friendly communication, and maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting fitness facility.

Responsibilities

• Greet members warmly, build relationships, and provide friendly, attentive service.
• Answer questions and assist members as needed.
• Keep the fitness center clean, organized, and presentable.
• Properly organize weights and equipment to maintain member safety.
• Report equipment issues and safety concerns promptly.
• Assist with routine facility tasks and communicate with the Sports Center team.

Qualifications & Physical Requirements

• Friendly, approachable, and comfortable interacting with people of all ages.
• Dependable, punctual, and attentive to detail.
• Previous customer service or fitness experience is helpful but not required.
• Must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds or more to safely reposition weights and equipment and help maintain a safe environment for members.
• Pre-employment drug test required.
