Fitness Instructor

The City of O'Fallon is looking for an energetic and dependable team member for the position of Fitness Instructor to lead classes on Tuesdays and Thursday mornings from 8 to 9 am (Strength class) and 11:15 am - 12:00 (Silver Sneakers Cardio) at the Renaud Center. Are you looking for a part-time opportunity where you can use your fitness know-how and skills in decision making, problem solving and dealing with the public? Our Fitness Instructors earn competitive pay with an expected starting rate of pay of $21.00 to $26.00 hourly. As part of our Recreation Department, this position plays an important role in providing fitness instruction to groups and individuals. Generally, you'll teach a few classes each week, including helping out when a substitute teacher is needed.As a Fitness Instructor, your duties and responsibilities will include:Providing instruction in a variety of fitness classes and top notice customer service to patronsAttending mandatory in-service trainingWe're looking for someone who is certified in Silver Sneaker fitness programming.
