Position Summary
The Fitness Instructor delivers dynamic group fitness classes that motivate members to meet their health and fitness goals in a fun, safe, and results-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, knowledgeable, and passionate about inspiring others through movement.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruct members in group fitness classes, including HIIT, circuit training, Pilates, cardio, and boot camp formats.
- Greet members warmly and foster a welcoming, supportive class atmosphere.
- Prepare the studio environment before each session, including lighting, music, and cleanliness.
- Monitor participants for safety and adjust pacing or instruction as needed.
- Promote TruFusion classes and events through active engagement with members.
- Maintain at least one permanent class on the weekly schedule.
- Remain available on the substitute instructor list and cover at least one substitute class per month.
- Maintain current certifications and adhere to all studio standards and policies.
- Follow all sanitation protocols and health regulations to ensure a safe environment.
Support for Daily Operations
- Report member conflicts or concerns to the General Manager or Assistant General Manager.
- Monitor and report facility maintenance or repair needs to management.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Ability to create a positive and welcoming environment for members.
- Professional, polite, and courteous in all interactions with staff, members, and vendors.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Receptive to direction and constructive feedback; able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Group Fitness Certification from an accredited organization (e.g., ACE, AFAA, NASM, or ISSA) preferred.
- Minimum one year of group fitness instruction experience preferred.
- CPR/AED certification.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Studio-based setting with music and ambient lighting.
- Requires standing, bending, and continuous movement for extended periods.
- Must be able to instruct and cue clearly over music at elevated volumes.
- Must be able to lift and carry fitness equipment and supplies up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to work in warm and humid conditions during heated fitness classes.
