Fitter / Fabricator Fab Shop / Service
A fabrication and service shop in New Castle, Pennsylvania, is seeking experienced Fitter/Fabricators to join their team. This role involves layout, fitting, and assembly of metal components, offering steady hours and strong earning potential.
Hours
Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM (40 hours, unpaid lunch)
Overtime is available when workload requires, commonly 6:00 AM 4:30 PM, totaling 50 hours per week
Occasional Saturday work and rare Sunday shifts in summer, with Sundays paid at double time
Pay
$25$30/hour (based on qualifications and experience)
Key Responsibilities
Lay out, measure, cut, and fit metal components for fabrication
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment for layout and assembly
Fit and align components before welding or final assembly
Perform finishing tasks including grinding and adjustments
Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Minimum Requirements
Prior fitting/fabrication experience required
Ability to read blueprints and perform accurate measurements
Must provide and maintain required small tools
Physically able to lift, stand, bend, and perform hands-on work throughout the shift
Safety-focused and dependable
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience working with steel, MIG welding, blueprint reading, and fabrication tools
