About the Role
We are seeking a Logistics Driver – Flatbed Tow Operator (Class C) to support an innovative leader in the autonomous vehicle industry. In this role, you’ll safely recover, transport, and deliver company vehicles while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and maintaining exceptional operational standards.
This position is ideal for an experienced driver with flatbed towing experience, a strong safety mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
Safely recover and transport company vehicles on public roads using flatbed towing equipment.
Operate vehicles with a combined gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 10,001–26,000 lbs (current flatbed GVWR: 20,000 lbs).
Perform vehicle loading, securing, winching, and recovery procedures safely and efficiently.
Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle, trailer, and equipment inspections.
Maintain accurate driver logs, hours of service, inspection reports, and delivery documentation.
Communicate effectively with dispatch, logistics teams, and field support throughout each shift.
Perform basic vehicle maintenance, including fueling, checking fluids, tire pressure, and minor repairs.
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company safety policies, and transportation procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support daily logistics operations and deliver an excellent customer experience.
Required Qualifications
Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Minimum 2 years of flatbed towing or vehicle recovery experience preferred.
Ability to safely operate large commercial vehicles and towing equipment.
Experience with vehicle loading, winching, recovery operations, and cargo securement.
Ability to meet DOT physical and medical requirements, when applicable.
Must successfully pass background screening and drug testing.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Flexible to work assigned shifts and overtime as needed.
Able to repeatedly enter and exit vehicles and lift up to 35 lbs.
