Job Purpose:
The Fleet Analyst provides analytical, reporting, compliance, and program management support for vehicle fleet, commuter benefits, property management, and asset disposal programs. This position is responsible for analyzing fleet and asset data, preparing reports, maintaining program records, supporting regulatory and policy compliance, and identifying opportunities to improve program efficiency and performance.
The Fleet Analyst will also support vehicle utilization and fleet card reporting, property and inventory management, asset lifecycle activities, and the coordination of electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Review and report on applicable fleet management requirements, including the DHS SAVE Act, Home-to-Work Transportation, Motor Vehicle Activity Expectations, and Motor Vehicle Utilization.
- Monitor and support fleet card usage and reconciliation activities.
- Provide reporting and program support for motor vehicle, property policy, and commuter benefits programs.
- Maintain accurate fleet, property, and asset information within applicable systems and tracking tools.
- Complete initial asset events for newly acquired assets and final events for disposed assets.
- Update asset records and ensure information remains accurate and current.
- Download and analyze data related to annual inventory progress and asset disposition activities on a weekly basis.
- Update and maintain the program's Master Asset List on a monthly basis.
- Prepare documentation supporting the biennial Home-to-Work reauthorization process.
- Track and coordinate the nationwide installation of Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE)/EV charging stations.
- Assist with updating fleet and property-related policies, procedures, and Management Directives.
- Review program information and recommend updates to internal and public-facing program sites to ensure content remains current and relevant.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports, analyses, and program documentation.
- Provide customer service and general program management support to internal stakeholders.
- Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process or program improvements.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to support fleet, property, and asset management objectives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Logistics, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered.
- Previous experience supporting fleet management, fleet analysis, property management, asset management, logistics, or a related program.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated experience analyzing operational data and performance metrics.
- Proficiency with data analysis, reporting, and tracking tools.
- Experience maintaining and reconciling asset, inventory, fleet, or property records.
- Knowledge of information systems, databases, compliance requirements, and data management principles.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear reports and presentations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage recurring reporting requirements and multiple priorities within established deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Previous experience supporting a federal government fleet, property, or asset management program is preferred.
