Fleet Mechanic
The K Company, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to join our team in Akron, Ohio. This position will work directly under our current Fleet Mechanic, assisting with the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our fleet of vans, trucks, and various motorized equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, wants to expand their mechanical knowledge, and is looking for a long-term career with a growing company. This position has the potential to turn into the Head Fleet Mechanic; therefore, an auto-mechanic background is a must and having knowledge in scheduling and maintaining vehicle records is a plus.
Schedule
Monday – Friday7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Assist with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of company vehicles and equipment
- Perform routine preventative maintenance services
- Help diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support various facility and campus projects as needed
- Learn and train under the guidance of our experienced Fleet Mechanic
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Reliable and dependable attendance
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Team-player mentality
- Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions
- Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of automotive and/or diesel mechanic experience
- Experience working on fleet vehicles, trucks, trailers, or equipment
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
