Flex/On-Call Security Officer – Omaha, NE ($24/hr)

Flex/on-call security officer job with Signal of Omaha, paying from $24.00 per hour. You'll provide on-demand security coverage across various shifts and sites, filling in wherever extra coverage is needed. A great fit for people with a law enforcement, military or security background.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license (required)
• Familiarity with surveillance equipment (CCTV) and security protocols (essential)
• Strong observation skills and the ability to spot potential risks quickly
• Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and working with team members and emergency responders
• Able to stay calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks in high-stress situations
• Physically fit to do patrols, stand for long periods and respond quickly
• Experience in security, law enforcement, military service or a related field is highly desirable
• First aid, CPR and conflict management certifications preferred; ongoing training is encouraged

What you'll do

• Do regular vehicle or foot patrols to deter unauthorized access and make sure safety protocols are followed
• Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras at sites that require it
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents and emergencies, including contacting emergency services when needed
• Control access by verifying ID and authorization for employees, visitors, contractors and vendors
• Support loss prevention by watching for suspicious behavior and stepping in when appropriate
• Provide first aid or CPR in an emergency until professional medical help arrives
• Document every incident accurately in detailed reports and logs
