A Day in the Life

You’ll be the expert who turns customer artwork into press-ready files for both flexographic and digital production. From trapping and stepping to distortion and preflight, you’ll safeguard quality before any job hits the press. You’ll coordinate with Management, Prepress, Production, and Customer Service to align on timelines and specifications, and you’ll proofread every detail—spelling, grammar, punctuation, and consistency—to ensure accuracy on press. Barcode verification and plate logistics round out your impact on quality and throughput.

What You'll Do

• Prepare customer files for Flexographic and Digital printing, including trapping, stepping, and distortion
• Perform thorough preflight checks on all incoming files
• Communicate clearly with Management, Prepress, Production, and Customer Service teams
• Proofread all content for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and consistency
• Conduct barcode verification to uphold quality standards
• Order and manage storage of Flexographic plates

Basic Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, InDesign)
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
• Strong time management, organization, and multitasking abilities
• Proactive problem-solving with a deadline-driven mindset
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in graphics or a closely related discipline
• Experience with Esko Workflow or Hybrid Cloudflow
• Experience using PACKz software
• Background in flexographic printing or label manufacturing prepress
• Familiarity with manufacturing workflows and pre-production graphics manipulation
