Flexographic Printing Press Specialist

Picture your Monday evening in Hartford, WI: you arrive to a clean, climate-controlled plant, review your job jacket, and bring a multi-station flexographic press to life. You verify raw materials have been approved, calibrate bench-top gauges, and set the machine for a smooth run. Throughout the night you monitor color and registration, retain print samples, and label work-in-process and finished rolls—always ready to flag any non-conformance to your Lead or Quality team. Before sunrise, you complete a precise clean-up and handoff, knowing the packaging you produced will be used in everyday life.

What you’ll do each shift

• Operate a flexographic printing press safely and efficiently.
• Match printed results to job jacket specifications and artwork standards.
• Maintain print sample retention for quality records.
• Immediately communicate non-conformities to the Supervisor/Lead or Quality Assurance Technician.
• Package and label WIP and finished product accurately.
• Confirm all raw materials are approved prior to use.
• Verify and use properly calibrated bench-top testing and measuring tools.
• Identify, segregate, and control non-conforming material.
• Perform thorough set-up and end-of-run clean-up on the machine.
• Follow all applicable food safety instructions and the SQF Food Safety Management System, including Employee GMPs.
• Report any food safety concerns to authorized personnel immediately.

Pay & Schedule

• Base pay typically $24–$33+ per hour, depending on relevant experience.
• B Shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM.
• $2.00/hour shift differential for B Shift.

Who thrives here

• Reliable, detail-focused press professionals; flexographic experience is a plus.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience running similar equipment preferred.
• Comfort with physical demands: climbing stairs; bending, twisting, reaching; pushing/pulling; squatting; walking/standing on concrete for most of the shift; lifting up to 70 lbs occasionally; working around inks, coatings, and solvents.
• Strong, reliable attendance record.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts (days or nights) with overtime as needed.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook (email and calendar).
