Position Details
As a Float Teacher, you'll work alongside our Lead and Assistant Teachers, supporting classrooms as
needed while helping children develop academically, socially, emotionally, and physically in a peaceful
Montessori environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting children in daily classroom routines and learning activities
- Building warm, nurturing relationships with children
- Helping maintain a clean, organized, and beautiful Montessori classroom
- Ensuring children's safety through active supervision
- Assisting with transitions, meals, playground time, and rest periods
- Collaborating with teachers and administrators to provide exceptional care
- Helping with school events and special activities
- Communicating classroom needs or concerns to the Lead Teacher
- Participating in staff meetings and required professional development

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting
- Must meet Michigan child care licensing requirements
- Experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 6 years is preferred but not required
- Montessori experience is a plus-we're happy to train the right candidate
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain through employer-provided training)
