A leading law firm is seeking a Floater Legal Assistant to join its Orange County office in Irvine. This role serves as a flexible resource providing administrative and substantive support to attorneys and practice teams across multiple groups on an as-needed basis, including coverage during absences, high-volume periods, trial preparation, and special projects. The ideal candidate is highly adaptable, detail oriented, and able to manage shifting priorities while maintaining strong organization, professionalism, and client service.
Responsibilities
* Prepare, proofread, revise, and format legal documents including pleadings, agreements, discovery, and correspondence
* Assist with federal and state court filings, including use of electronic filing systems such as PACER
* Manage calendaring, scheduling, travel coordination, and expense processing
* Maintain electronic and physical files using document management systems such as iManage
* Support substantive legal work including document review, cite checking, factual research, and preparation of transaction binders
* Organize exhibits and provide trial preparation support
* Provide coverage across multiple practice groups and quickly adapt to varying attorney preferences and workflows
