Floor Tech

The essential functions of a Floor Technician include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Follow safety policies and procedures without exception
• Sweep and dust mop entire area, using proper techniques to prepare floor for cleaning
• Inspect equipment, attachments, and connections prior to use, according to standard procedures
• Prepare cleaning solutions according to label directions
• Scrub floors with low speed floor machines or auto scrubber
• Remove any stubborn marks of stains in proper method
• Pick up excess solutions with mop or wet dry vacuum
• High speed buff floor areas to restore shine
• Follow standard procedures to strip floors
• Follow standard procedures for applying finish to floors
• Pre-spot stains in carpet before prior cleaning entire area
• Shampoo and extract carpet
• Remove and replace all furniture
• Thoroughly clean all equipment and store each piece properly
• Site is to be left clean, touching up baseboards and furniture as necessary
• Performing other similar and related duties as assigned by supervisor
• *Technicians may be asked to participate in other janitorial related tasks throughout the facility.
• Requirements
• Must pass background check
• Ability to build relationships with management and fellow employees
• Ability to stay on task while working independently
